2. Scope of These Terms
These terms and conditions govern the use of the teraagro.md website and the relationship between you and the farm regarding the agricultural products offered for wholesale. By using the site and/or submitting a quote request, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
Important — the nature of this site: teraagro.md is not a classic online store. The site functions as a catalog with an advanced price-quote request form. See section 5 for the full explanation of how a request submitted through the site works.
3. Products Offered
We offer agricultural products for wholesale (grains, oilseed crops, seasonal vegetables and fruit), grown or supplied from the Briceni district. Descriptions, photos and quantities shown on the site are indicative — the exact variety, grading, ripeness and available volume are confirmed at the time of your request, depending on the current harvest.
Some products may only be available as a pre-order, ahead of harvest — see section 8.
4. Prices
Prices are shown in Moldovan lei (MDL). Other currencies (EUR, USD, RON) shown on the site are indicative, calculated at the reference rate of the National Bank of Moldova, and are provided for convenience only — the final price is set and paid in MDL, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
The farm is not VAT-registered — displayed prices do not and will not include VAT. Prices may vary depending on the quantity ordered (volume discounts) — quantity-based pricing tables, where applicable, are shown on each product's page.
The final price of a transaction is the one confirmed by both parties under the process described in section 5, not necessarily the price initially shown on the site (which may be indicative, especially for products with no current stock).
5. How a Request Submitted Through the Site Works
Filling in and submitting the site's form (including adding products to the cart and completing the checkout steps) constitutes a price-quote request, not a binding order. Submitting this request does not create any payment obligation on your part and does not, by itself, constitute the conclusion of a sale contract.
After receiving your request, we will contact you by phone or email to confirm: exact availability, quantity, final price, delivery or pickup terms, and the estimated timeframe. The sale contract is considered concluded only at the moment of this mutual confirmation — not when the form is submitted.
Until this confirmation, you may withdraw your request at any time, without any consequence.
6. Delivery
We deliver exclusively within the Republic of Moldova. Delivery cost is calculated, where possible, based on the actual road distance to the specified address; if the exact distance cannot be determined automatically, an indicative cost is shown, to be confirmed before the order is finalized.
Personal pickup from the farm is also available, at no additional delivery cost. The risk of loss or damage to the products passes to the buyer upon handover of the goods (at delivery or pickup).
Legal entities may be registered in any country — this does not affect the delivery territory, which remains limited to the Republic of Moldova.
7. Payment
We accept payment by bank transfer to the farm's account or cash on personal pickup. We do not currently process online card payments. The exact timing and method of payment are agreed with you when the order is confirmed (section 5).
8. Pre-orders on Future Harvest
For some products, the site may show a pre-order tied to a future harvest, with an estimated availability date. This date is indicative and may be affected by weather conditions, crop yield or other objective agricultural factors beyond our control.
If the harvest does not materialize as expected or the timeframe changes significantly, we will inform you as soon as possible, and you are entitled to cancel the pre-order, with a full refund of any advance payment made.
9. Right of Withdrawal / Cancellation
Because, as explained in section 5, the sale contract is only concluded upon order confirmation, you may withdraw a request submitted through the site at any time before that confirmation, without justification and at no cost.
After confirmation:
- For products liable to deteriorate quickly (e.g. fresh produce with a short shelf life), the statutory 14-day withdrawal right does not apply, under the exception provided by legislation on consumer rights in distance contracts.
- For products that store well over long periods (e.g. potatoes, onions, cabbage, beets, grains), cancellation after confirmation is possible only if you contact us before the goods are dispatched or prepared for pickup — please contact us as soon as possible using the details in section 1. We cannot guarantee cancellation after this point.
- After delivery or pickup, the non-conformity complaint procedure described in section 10 applies, rather than a general right of return.
10. Complaints and Non-Conformity
If the products received do not match the agreed quantity, quality or description, or are damaged upon delivery, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally on the day of delivery/pickup, using the details in section 1, indicating the request/order number and, if possible, photos of the product.
We will review each situation individually and offer, as appropriate, product replacement, a corresponding price reduction, or a refund for the affected quantity.
11. Liability and Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or inability to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control — extreme weather, natural disasters, crop failure, legal restrictions or other force majeure events. In such cases, we will inform you and propose alternative solutions (a revised timeframe, an equivalent product, or a refund).
Our liability, in any case, is limited to the value of the order in question and does not cover indirect damages.
12. Intellectual Property
The site's content (texts, photos, catalog structure) belongs to the farm or is used with the rights holders' authorization. Reproduction or commercial use of the content without our written consent is not permitted.
13. Disputes, Applicable Law and Supervisory Authority
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Moldova. Any dispute is, where possible, resolved amicably, by contacting us directly (section 1).
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the State Inspectorate for Non-Food Products Supervision and Consumer Protection (ISSPNPC) — the national authority competent for consumer rights in distance selling, consumator.gov.md — or to address the competent courts of the Republic of Moldova.
14. Changes to These Terms and Contact
These terms may be updated periodically to reflect legislative changes or changes in how the site operates. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document. For any question:
